I know I have been neglectful of Deviantart for - well, basically ever since signing up for an account here... - I do apologize for that. The main reasons for that are lack of spirit and insecurity. When you are somehow too ashamed to show your own work, and at the same time do not have the stomach to look at other people's work without stomping the delicate flower of your self-confidence into the dust, this might happen; at least it did to me. But life is change.
There has been a lot of movement during the past few months. In life, in work and most importantly, spirit. I'm harboring a great desire to let bygones be bygones and have a fresh start, now I will put this into reality. To this end, this account will be deleted in the near future. One of my reasons for doing this is the nickname of Chansemweje. I have been using this nick for now more than 10 years on the internet; and I realize that for me it symbolizes an emotional toil that I wish to leave in the past. Exit Chansemweje, fade out, cut. Any future activity on DeviantArt will be on a new account, the name of which is to be announced in time, but it will be the same as my new own homepage and the one on smackjeeves. Here we come to the good news:
Spirit Noir is scheduled to be launched on smackjeeves.com in January 2010.
I think the date is somewhat humorous, since I remember to have written down the very first ideas for the story on the first of January 2000. Ten bloody years! 150 estimated pages of cheerful hobby can turn into a nightmare of self-humiliation if you get tangled in your intentions. So what happened to Spirit Noir? It has always been a work that was supposed to be FINISHED at some point; I have other, original scripts in the drawer that want to see the light of the day at some point as well. But never let down something as long as you love it. Inbetween the project got roughed up by bad living conditions, bad writing, bad planning, general precipitance, the disappointment not to meet one's own high expectations and the occasional artist breakdown - demons that, as you may have experienced, like to travel in packs. And, who knows, some time they might return to have some more fun. Fortunately love was kind enough to stick around.
For me and everyone else who suffers from the tyranny of those demons I hope and wish that they stay chained in their dark corners for as long as possible. I would like to thank my friends my friends and many Deviants here for their encouragement, as well as their undeserved patience and enthusiasm for this project. Thank you for bearing with me, I promise to make it up to you.
Now - see you in a while.
